Episode 32 – Beware the Knight

Written by Judd Lynn and Jackie Marchand
Directed by Koichi Sakamoto

Summary: A White Knight protecting a box which holds the Battle Fire is defeated by a Black Knight. The Black Knight takes the box, but only one pure of heart can release its powers.

The team sends Trip out to retrieve some pizza. On his way back with the pizza, Trip is attacked by the Black Knight and the pizza is trampled. The others begin to worry as Trip has been gone too long. Wes wants to send out a search party…as they’ve got to find that pizza. Trip returns with the trampled pizza, but no one believes him when he explains he was attacked by a Knight as they think he must of dropped the pizza. The Black Knight is unable to open the box and has it guarded by a Dragon as he searches for someone pure of heart to open it for him.

The team exit a theater after watching ‘Frankie Chang VS The Ant People’. The Black Knight suddenly appears in the street. The team returns to the Clock Tower. They search through their database of mutants and even look under Medieval mutants but can’t find any Knight, as the Black Knight is not a mutant.

The Black Knight returns and the Rangers intercept him. But the Black Knight takes them down one-by-one. Red Ranger follows the Knight, but the Knight vanishes. The Knight returns the next night. Wes backtracks the horse’s tracks and discovers a cave while the others intercept the Knight in the city. Wes enters the cave and is attacked by the fire-breathing Dragon. Red Ranger destroys the Evil Dragon. Wes opens the box revealing the Battle Fire. The spirit of the White Knight appears and explains to Wes that he has been proven to be worthy to receive the Battle Fire. Red Ranger joins up with the others and uses the Battle Fire to become the Red Battle Warrior and destroys the Black Knight. They return to the cave with the Black Knight’s sword and seal off the cave.

Trip returns to the Clock Tower with more ruined pizza, but this time he did drop the pizza.
