Episode 28 – Dawn of Destiny

Written by Judd Lynn and Jackie Marchand
Directed by Worth Keeter

Summary: Ransik, Cyclobots and mutant Severax are searching for Frax. Cyclobots find Frax hiding in a bush but loyal to their friend, they do not turn him in and Frax gets away. Trip finds a camera, so Wes, Lucas, Trip and Katie decide to have a little fun with it, bringing Jen into the picture. Jen is worried that every day they stay there, they jeopardize the future and explains that the serum is not suppose to be invented for 200 years. So Wes goes to get it back from Bio-Lab.

At Bio-Lab, Wes takes a case of the serum but Eric gets in his way. Wes explains to Eric that the serum is from the future and that he has to destroy all of it. Mr. Collins then walks in. Wes tells his father that he needs the serum back. Mr. Collins doesn’t listen and has Eric take the case from him, as the serum is making him a lot of money and that’s all he cares about. Eric places the serum in a freezer and Wes returns to his team empty-handed.

Frax and Cyclobots are building a giant robot to crush the city. The Mystery Man is observing Frax’s progress from the future — WARNING

Ransik and Cyclobots storm through Bio-Lab in search for the serum. Silver Guardians try leading Mr. Collins to safety but they are attacked and Mr. Collins is now on his own. Ransik finds the lab. Dr. Zaskin attempts to quickly hide the serum, but Ransik hears him and makes Zaskin tell him where it is. Ransik throws Dr. Zaskin down and heads for the freezer. But then suddenly, Ransik experiences another attack and blades form from his flesh. He falls to the floor in tremendous pain and begins crawling and pulling himself closer to the serum. Mr. Collins enters the lab and sees Ransik suffering as he drinks a vial of the serum. The serum stops the attack. Ransik gets back up and tells Mr. Collins to get out of his way. But Mr. Collins stands up for his son and tells Ransik that if he had known that the serum could help him, he would have poured it down the drain himself. Dr. Zaskin overhears them. Mr. Collins explains that he tried to plan his son’s life, but Wes took charge of his own destiny and he will always be proud of him for doing it. Then Ransik pulls out a sword and strikes him own. Mr. Collins is unconscious. Ransik leaves the building and orders Severax to level the place. Quantum Ranger tries to stop Ransik but is easily taken down. The ambulance arrives. Eric sees Mr. Collins on a stretcher and helps lift him into the back of the ambulance. Eric goes with them to the hospital. Severax and the Cyclobots destroy the buildings. The Rangers arrive and recapture Severax.

Jen says they have to capture Ransik before the future changes. They suddenly hear someone tell them that they are already too late. The Mystery Man has arrived in the year 2001 and he reveals himself to the team – it’s Alex. Alex explains that history’s already shifted and he’s there to set it back on track.
