Episode 21 – Lovestruck Rangers

Written by Judd Lynn and Jackie Marchand
Directed by Worth Keeter

Summary: Lucas and Trip encounter a lady named Angelique who puts them under her love spell. Angelique is really a mutant named Contemptra. Angelique tries asking Wes to go out with her, but Wes turns her down and explains that there’s another girl he likes (Jen). So Angelique forces the love spell onto him.

Back at the Clock Tower, Wes is getting ready and leaves for his date, and Jen is not happy. Wes, Lucas and Trip show up at the same time to their date Angelique and they begin to fight over her. With three of the Rangers distracted, Ransik and Nadira rampage the city. Pink and Yellow Rangers intercept Ransik, but Ransik is too powerful. Luckily, Ransik’s DNA begins to mutate again. Nadira gives him a vial of serum, but Pink and Yellow Rangers destroy the vial, so Ransik and Nadira are forced to retreat.

Jen and Circuit discover that Angelique is actually a mutant, and that the guys are under a love spell. Jealous Jen is very happy to have discovered this. Red, Blue and Green Rangers fight each other over Angelique. Pink and Yellow Rangers show up and break the spell, and Pink Ranger takes her down. They blast her with the Vortex Blaster, but she makes herself grow. Contemptra is recaptured by Shadow Force Megazord Mode Red.

Back at the Clock Tower, Wes and Jen are about to kiss, but they are interrupted by a phone ring.
