Episode 20 – Quantum Secrets

Written by Judd Lynn and Jackie Marchand
Directed by Makoto Yokoyama

In Memory of Minoru Uchiyama

Summary: Dr. Zaskin is unable to access the data in Eric’s Morpher, as the technology is too advanced. Ransik reanimates the mutant Conwing. Conwing plans to get the Q-Rex using his Voice Simulator.

A little girl sees Eric feeding his birds, so she goes up to Eric and asks to talk to his birds. Eric lets her see and talk to them, but then three guys show up and take Eric away. The three reveal themselves – it’s Conwing and two Cyclobots. Conwing has the Quantum Morpher and threatens to get the little girl if he doesn’t call for the Q-Rex. Eric calls for the Q-Rex, then Conwing imitate’s Eric’s voice to control the Q-Rex. Conwing forms the Quantasaurus Rex Megazord. Eric learns from Conwing that the technology is from the year 3000. Conwing prepares to finish Eric but the other Rangers show up, and Eric jumps off a bridge. But on his way down, Eric is injured, blasted in the arm by Conwing. Pink Ranger jumps in the water after Eric. Conwing orders the Q-Rex Megazord to destroy the Rangers. The Time Shadow Megazord arrives.

Eric is unconscious and Jen had pulled him out of the river. Eric awakes and tells Jen that he doesn’t need her help and refuses to thank her. He reveals to Jen that he knows they are from the future. Jen asks him to not tell anyone that they’re from the future, especially Mr. Collins. But Eric tells her that he’s not making any promises.

Pink Ranger joins her team against Conwing. Eric shows up and gets his Morpher back. Conwing makes himself grow and heads for the city. Quantum Ranger follows after him into the city but is then suddenly surrounded by Cyclobots. The mystery man sends him Quantum Mega Battle armor. Quantum Ranger Mega Battle Mode destroys the Cyclobots, saves the little girl from Conwing and refreezes him.

Dr. Zaskin and Eric report back to Mr. Collins. Dr. Zaskin has no idea who activated the Mega Battle. Mr. Collins asks Eric if he has any new information, and Eric tells him he doesn’t.

Back at the house, Eric is unable to find his birds. The little girl shows up with the birds and explains that she saved them. Eric tells her that she can come visit them anytime she’d like. Wes is on his motorcycle and sees Eric being kind.
