Episode 12 – Worlds Apart

Written by Judd Lynn and Jackie Marchand
Directed by Isaac Florentine

Summary: The team (Jen, Wes, Lucas, Trip and Katie) is hired to pick up garbage. In the back of a car driving by, Mr. Collins spots Wes and his friends picking up trash and tells his driver to pull over. Mr. Collins tells Wes that he couldn’t be more disappointed, then leaves. Nadira and Cyclobots had just robbed a place, and the Silver Guardians, hired to protect the property, arrive at the scene to stop them. Jen and the others witness the Silver Guardians destroy the Cyclobots, but Nadira gets away. One of the Silver Guardians spots/recognizes Wes and goes over to talk to him – Eric Myers. Wes explains that he and Eric went to prep school together.

Back at the Clock Tower, the team learns that the Silver Guardians were formed by Mr. Collins, and that the Silver Guardians will only protect the clients who pay for their services, as Mr. Collins only cares about the money. Realizing that Eric is now working for his father, Wes explains that when he and Eric were in prep school, they trained in Karate together, and Eric was a great fighter, but Eric always had something to prove. And then one day Eric quit prep school.

Eric talks to Mr. Collins and explains that he went to prep school with his son and knows that Wes moved out of his house. Eric explains that he saw Wes today and offers to help find him. But Mr. Collins tells Eric that he’s not looking for him, then walks away. Wes was a good friend to Eric in prep school, but Eric is determined to be better than Wes and to be the one to end up on top.

Frax unleashes a mutant from the X-Vault. The Rangers intercept Univolt. Silver Guardians arrive at the scene, then Mr. Collins arrives. The Silver Guardians can’t handle the mutant. Univolt fires at the Commander, but Red Ranger gets in the way to protect him. Red Ranger’s helmet is damaged. Eric and Mr. Collins realize that Wes is a Time Force Ranger. Mr. Collins confronts Wes for an explanation. Wes explains that all his life he’s done what he’s wanted him to do, but now he is in control of his own future. Wes then takes off to battle. Red Ranger manages to weaken Univolt, and the five recapture him.

The team is raking leaves. Mr. Collins shows up to talk to Wes. Mr. Collins explains that his Commander was injured. He offers Wes to be the new leader of the Silver Guardians for the Ranger technology to benefit his company. Wes explains that it’s not about the money, Time Force Rangers help everyone, not just those who can afford it, and tells him that he won’t have any part of his team.
