Episode 9 – The Time Shadow

Written by Judd Lynn
Directed by Koichi Sakamoto

Summary: At Bio-Lab, Mr. Collins and his Weapons Team introduce the Raimei Destroyer — an armored tank built to help defend Silver Hills against Ransik’s attacks. Mutant Izout and Cyclobots break into Bio-Lab and steal Zirium Powder for Frax. The Rangers destroy the Cyclobots and intercept Izout, but Izout makes himself grow. The Rangers form Time Force Megazord Mode Blue but walk into a trap of grenades, and the Megazord is badly damaged. But luckily, Izout is recaptured by the Time Jet. The Time Flyers return to the future and undergo repairs.

Frax and his Cyclobots are secretly creating a robot. Frax uses the Zirium Powder to form a crystal.

Back at the Clock Tower, Circuit explains that the useless Zirium Powder can be made into a powerful crystal – a Trizirium Crystal. Jen explains that Trizirium Crystals shouldn’t be discovered for another hundred years.

Frax completes the Trizirium Crystal to its blue more powerful form — Laser-Induced Blue Trizirium Crystal. He inserts the blue crystal into his robot to power it up and takes it into the city. The robot has a DNA Patch which Frax uses to make the robot grow and attack the city. Circuit calls for the zords, but Captain Logan informs Circuit that the zords are too damaged, so the Rangers are on their own. Mr. Collins brings the Raimei Destroyer online. Circuit informs the Rangers that the zords are being repaired, and that their opponent this time is a robot and not a mutant which they will need to destroy as freezing it won’t work. The Raimei Destroyer arrives and attacks the robot. But the Raimei Destroyer is no match for Frax’s robot, and the Raimei tank is destroyed. But mysteriously, someone from the future sends a new zord to help – the Time Shadow (Shadow Winger Mode). The Shadow Winger transforms into the Time Shadow Megazord and destroys Frax’s robot then returns to the future.

Captain Logan tells them that he doesn’t know who sent the Time Shadow.
