Episode 8 – Jen’s Revenge

Written by Judd Lynn
Directed by Koichi Sakamoto

Summary: Jen is off training alone, seeking revenge against Ransik for what he did to Alex. Wes locates Jen and attempts to train with her, but she again turns him away. Ransik reanimates the bounty hunter mutant named Fatcatfish and pays him to destroy the Rangers. Fatcatfish uses Frax’s robots (Cyclobots) as target practice, angering Frax.

The Rangers intercept Fatcatfish. Jen remembers this mutant from when Alex and her arrested him who had attempted to destroy them. Pink Ranger is provoked by Fatcatfish taunting her about Alex’s demise. She sets her weapon on Destroy and attempts to destroy Fatcatfish, but the other Rangers stop her and Fatcatfish gets away.

Frax confronts Fatcatfish and threatens to tell Ransik of him running scared. Frax secretly uses a Voice and Image Replicator to frame him, creating a message for Jen with Fatcatfish’s image and voice. Jen receives the message offering her a deal to leave him alone, giving her a location to where she can find Ransik.

Later that night, with everyone sleeping, Jen takes off alone to go after Ransik at an old warehouse. Ransik and Frax meet up with Fatcatfish in the warehouse. Frax had told Ransik that Fatcatfish wanted to see him. Jen arrives, and Ransik is led to believe that Fatcatfish made a deal to turn him in. Jen is out numbered by Cyclobots and Ransik. Ransik pulls out a sword to finish her, but suddenly feels excruciating pain as his DNA begins mutating again. The other Rangers arrive and take Jen back to the Clock Tower.

Jen later awakes and finds Wes next to her sleeping and holding her hand. Jen gets up and takes off again. Pink Ranger intercepts Fatcatfish. The other Rangers arrive and find that she’s about to destroy him. They help her realize her mistake, and what Alex would do, so she stands down. Fatcatfish makes himself grow, but is recaptured by the Time Force Megazord.

Wes says to Jen that he knows he’s not Alex. So Jen tells Wes that she likes him just the way he is.
